In this inspired conversation with Carrie Madormo, we had the great honor to really GO THERE and witness the transformation that happened for her she entered into her first maternity leave and trusted the stirrings of her soul to build a life that was WAY different than the one she had been living.
Carrie Madormo is a business & wellness writer for internationally recognized publications. She has been featured in Working Mother Magazine, USA Today, and the Huffington Post. She now helps fellow mothers launch their own dream careers from home while being fully present in their joyful lives.
Carrie's mission is to support mothers in coming home to their families, their dreams, and themselves. She replaced her full-time nursing income by writing and blogging during her daughter's nap time and now shares her expertise with women around the world.
In this conversation, Carrie walked us step by step through entering maternity leave, feeling the pang to not return to her job as a nurse, researching what else she could do, finding the courage to make the leap, trusting her gut even when others told her not to get her hopes up, and building a new freelance writing business as a mom and now, entrepreneur.
We didn't stop there though, we talked about the steps she took to take the inspired action that helped her create this life and we also talked about the struggles that presented themselves after she started this new journey. We talked about how we both tied our worthiness to our work success and the lessons that were learned from that. We talked about the struggles her family endured when her second baby wound up in the NICU and how she immediately had to pivot everything- including how she was opporating her business.
Finally, we talked about surrendering and trusting that it's not just us and we don't need to be white knuckling it all the time. We reflected and honored the fact that things DO come easy to us at times and instead of dimming our light and convincing ourselves that it can't possibly be THAT easy, we have the opportunity to amplify our superpowers to best serve others!
This was a deeply intimate conversation and one I hope you will cherish.
