In this episode of Morning Sunshine with Jillian Bolanz I dove head first into the topic of rule following. I shared with you my own experience with being a LOVER of all things rules related, but also noted how, over time, I have discovered that I loved following the rules not only for the structure, but also for the external pats on the back I would get when I did so.
I shared the importance of being internally validated as the first priority, and the way to do that was through self-care and a lot of inner work- particularly releasing the things that truly don't serve us.
The key message within this podcast was that just because you CAN, doesn't mean you should. I shared how I personally dropped the guilt and rules associated with a certain way of eating, and was so grateful to feel so free. However, suddenly because I felt like I COULD, I went to the complete opposite side of the spectrum and ultimately found that for my body, THAT didn't feel good either!
